I think A. giganteus was a Eurasian species, while A. kabir lived in North Africa.

It seems so. There is also M. kabir. Was allocated many spesies, but apparently no one can guarantee for their validity

Apparently along with M. kurteni, kabir and giganteus have been placed in their own genus, amphimachairodus.
